Firstly I would like to say that I hope you all are safe and well!
We are currently living through a period of time that will never be forgotten and feels so very surreal.
Although things are so uncertain, I believe it has given us all time to reflect and reassess our own personal situations, what’s important to us as human beings.
At times like these we have to use the time the universe has afforded us.
Alongside the anxiety and longing we share worldwide we have also seen many unselfish acts of kindness in our communities. Essential workers walking directly towards danger on a daily basis, we who are not essential / key workers need to do our bit also. It will be interesting to see how artists and creatives express themselves through their creations and evolve as artists.
Life is so different for us all and businesses are striving to find new ways to operate. We are spending time with family or perhaps with ourselves, checking on loved ones and connecting digitally as the world fights to recover and suppress Covid-19.
In the meantime the planet is having a breather from us humans, nature is thriving the air feels cleaner and summer is in its way, yay!
Personally, it's been a matter of keeping myself busy now the gallery is closed. I have been doing things around the home and in the garden. I have finally had the chance to get out my sewing machine.
I now have the time to explore, try out new techniques and develop skills I didn’t get the chance to whilst running the gallery for almost 3 and a half years. Covid-19 has given me a chance to stop and breathe and spend time with nature.
We have no idea how long Covid-19 will be with us or how our lives and daily habits will change to new ones, but as people it is a precious time and we should use it wisely!
So lets try new things, meditate, take a moment to breathe deeply, reassess, and be grateful!
